I had an awesome miracle filled week. Things are finally looking up! We found lots of new investigators this week and we just had a fun week in general.
We found a family! The Alba family is so prepared. Normally when you first start teaching someone you can tell if they really are interested in the message. They are! They were listening so closely and loved the message of the Restoration. They accepted a baptismal date for the 17th of October. We are so excited for them and excited to get the chance to teach them. There really is prepared people out there.
We have been praying for the prepared people to come to us and that we will be able to recognize them and on Friday we were teaching one of our less actives who lives with a bunch of other random people that arent her family and one of them sat in on the lesson. His name is Mike. He didnt say anything during the lesson but once we were towards the end he told us hes tired of living a miserable drunk life and that he wants to change and take the lessons. We were like what!? We gave him a Book of Mormon and he was so thankful he started crying and kissed the book.
Then on Saturday we talked with one of our members neighbors who was outside. Her name is Maria and shes from El Salvador. She invited us in as soon as we said hi and told us to share a message with her. So we did and she said she wants to be baptized! She has a baptismal date for the 24th of October.
On Sunday, a less active family that we have been helping to reactivate had their two sons receive the priesthood! The boys wanted us there when they received it. The spirit was so strong and their mom was crying like no other. Its beautiful to see the priesthood bless families. We also had Danna Hernandez, an 8 year old girl of one of our less active families get baptized. She was so happy and i know her family felt a strong spirit there. It was definitely a miracle week. I love being i this branch and in this area. My companion is awesome and keeps me going. I couldnt ask for more.
Like i said before the mission has a cycle of success and then humility over and over. We all have this cycle in our lives as well. But i know that as we stay strong during the humbling times and dont lose faith thats when the miracles come! i love yall!
