The holidays are not the same without you guys!
Its freezing outside but yet its still green it doesnt make sense?
Before i share my week with you i want to share the blessing my mission president gave to the whole mission:
“As your mission president, I bless you by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ, that if you will (a) exercise more faith in Jesus Christ, (b) choose to see your investigators and those you meet as Heavenly Father sees them, and then (c) be diligent in your efforts to share the gospel in the months of November and December you will have greater success than you have in the past at bringing people unto Christ.
November and December can be miraculous months for each of you and for the mission if we will choose to receive the blessings God wants to give us through our faith and diligence. ”
This blessing has truly blessed our work. This week has been awesome!
While my companion was at a meeting i was on splits with two brand new hermanas. We were proselyting in my area. We went to go visit some potentials and came across a super prepared family Adrian and Valerie and their kids Isabella, Oscar, and baby Adrian. They said that we are an answer to their prayers and that they have been looking for a church to go to and that they are in areally hard time in their life. I committed them to a baptismal date of December 20th and they are already progressing so much! They came to churchon Sunday and loved it! We taught them last night about repentance because Adrian had lots of questions about it. He has had a very bad past and wants to be clean again, he is recently also an alcoholic. He is willing to change and repent. I just want to share with you guys something i was guided by the spirit to tell Adrian. When we repent with a broken heart and wit real intent we are forgiven, we are made clean again. Satan wants us to lose faith in the atonement and still feel guilty for our sins. Dont ever become captive to those feelings of guilt after you have already been cleansed of those sins. I am so thankful for the gift of the atonement that we have and that we are able to be forgiven and that the atonement is not only to be cleansed from sin but is for comfort. Jesus Christ felt our every feeling! He knows exactly how you feel you are NEVER alone.
I just wanna encourage you guys to have faith in the atonement and dont ever fall back into that guilt or back into those sins. They are not worth it. I love you guys so much and hope you have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
P.s. Read Alma 5 and evaluate yourself withthe questions Alma is asking his people.
and also if any of you guys want to write letters just let me know:)
